Many women in correctional facilities face irregular access to basic hygiene essentials such as soap, sanitary products, oral care items, and other daily necessities. WiP addresses this gap by providing thoughtfully designed hygiene kits that support personal care, menstrual hygiene, and basic well-being, ensuring that women have the essentials required to maintain cleanliness and dignity.
Through this initiative, Friendly Giants Foundation works to create a structured and consistent support system that goes beyond one-time relief. Each hygiene kit contains carefully selected items that help women manage their daily hygiene independently while also ensuring privacy and personal ownership. By improving access to these essential products, WiP aims to reduce health risks, support emotional well-being, and reinforce the idea that dignity and basic care remain fundamental human rights—even within prison environments.
The long-term vision of the initiative is to reach one million incarcerated women across India through continuous partnerships with correctional institutions, supporters, and community stakeholders.
